DAMPER

MABU MABU Damper Workshop
Learn to make damper the Torres Strait Islander way in this cooking workshop for kids with Mabu Mabu. Kids will get to make damper dough and wrap it in banana leaves to take home, ready to cook!

Melbourne Stars Play Cricket Zone
Come down for some fun, games and cricket workshops with the Melbourne Stars. The Stars truck will be there with plenty of giveaways and enjoyable activities. There will be competitions, music and fun for the whole family!

The team from ‘Full Flight’ return to the Festival, attendees can speak with experienced handlers, investigate a barn owl nest hollow, compare raptor feathers and even touch their majestic wedge-tailed eagle.

PCYC

Drop-In Sport – PCYC St Kilda Youth Centre
The St Kilda Police and Citizen’s Youth Club (PCYC) is a not-for-profit organisation mentoring young people of all ages and backgrounds. The team will be bringing their Koorie Youth Program to the festival to run a free drop-in sports day to get kids (5 years +) and youth moving and learning sports techniques and about the benefits of a healthy, active life.

MABU MABU Cooking demonstration: Namas
Mabu Mabu chef, Nornie Bero, will demonstrate traditional Torres Strait Islander dishes and how to cook with Australian native ingredients. She’ll be making Namas, a raw fish dish, similar to ceviche.
